Overview
Il Poeta is a family-owned Italian restaurant in Queens, New York. Working in tandem with the KKAD Interior Design team and the restaurant owner, I led a thoughtful brand refinement, evolving their logo and visual identity along with various related collateral. A handwritten logo paired with a rich, intentionally curated color palette weaves in the restaurant’s history while accentuating the interior redesign.

The Process
Il Poeta’s story guided the direction of this project. A classical, hand-drawn logo anchored the identity, capturing the warmth and tradition of a family-owned Italian restaurant.
From this foundation, the rest of the collateral followed. Subtle references to the owner and his father were woven throughout, honoring the legacy at the heart of the space.
